'Let there be light'

"Let there be light" is the sixth collection from the previously solely
swimwear label emmaford.

This collection is a derivative of our swimwear, trans-seasonal garments
that feature the emmaford custom bold graphic prints and a great fit.

The themes throughout the range have a pop art look and a
rock and roll feel. Big spotlights, glowing volt meters and
neon leopard print.

Minimal seams preserve the natural lines of the body. Body suits
and tights are constructed without the use of side seams. Great pieces
for layering or wearing on their own.

emmaford's focus is to create Fun, Fashionable and Functional
garments for people who love to celebrate great design.

With this collection, emmaford promotes the philosophy
that life should be played at maximum volume.

The Judges decide on Monday who will be New Zealand's Next Top Cat Model.

www.designerdirection.co.nz has been established to empower and encourage New Zealand fashion designers at any stage of their business or design career. 

So when we where approached by Founder Melody Wehipeihana for an interview we happily said yes.

Emma Stuart and Mark Burton of Emma Ford Swimwear are on a quest to bring a bit of razzle dazzle to the tired New Zealand swimwear market. With a few years of experience under their belt and some big dreams to strive for, they share their inspirations, loves, history and hurdles for creating what is becoming a very exciting little business.  Alex Dunn of Designer Direction brings you their story.
